Jeanne Eddington In Memoriam: Jeanne, a senior partner in Eddington Consulting, died in December 15, 2014 of breast cancer after a long and distinguished career in management and consulting. Jeanne was born in Erie, Penn., graduated from Thiel College and met Jon at the University of California, Berkeley. They were married in 1964, lived in Germany while Jon was serving in the military, and moved to Canada in 1971, settling in Toronto’s Beach neighbourhood and becoming proud Canadians. Jeanne received her Masters of Adult Education degree from the University of Toronto in 1978 and held various positions as a manager and educator before joining Eddington Consulting in 1997. She was a talented and highly respected consultant advising many large public- and private-sector organizations.
Jeanne’s legacy is a life well lived. Possessing exceptional personal qualities, she was a lifelong volunteer and leader who always sought to make this a better world. She has been an inspiration to all who have known her.
Jon Eddington has over 40 years of experience in telecommunications, and information technology driven business strategy and management, areas of vital importance to the development of business requirements, strategies and plans.
Since founding Eddington Consulting over 20 years ago, Jon has provided telecommunications and technology consulting services for over 100 major clients, including universities, colleges, school boards, hospitals and healthcare, all levels of government, and private sector organizations. He has held various technical and management positions in the telephone industry (with Bell Canada, GT&E Data Services, General Telephone Company of Florida); the insurance industry (Manulife Financial); and the U.S. Armed Forces.
Bruce Mottershead, P.Eng.
Bruce Mottershead, P.Eng. is an Independent Management Consultant, specializing in Telecommunications Strategy and Acquisitions, Project Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Pandemic Planning.
Bruce is a Graduate of the University of Waterloo, holding a BASc. in Electrical Engineering, an MASc. in Systems Design Engineering and is a Professional Engineer. Bruce spent 15 years with Northern Telecom and related companies. He started his consulting career with Ernst and Young.
Bruce began independent consulting in 1994 and specialized in strategic positioning and acquisitions through RFX processes, of telecommunications for medium to large scale corporations and public sector institutions with specific focus on voice technologies including telephone systems, voice processing, call processing, call centers, CTI and project management. Recently, Bruce’s practice has evolved to include an emphasis on Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning. Bruce’s many projects demonstrate his wide base of experience.
Linda Hunter with over 20 years' experience, specializes in helping clients develop a foundation for cohesive technology planning to facilitate sensible economic change and improvement by combining existing systems and software with appropriate new technologies.
Specialties: Assisting clients to migrate from legacy systems to VoIP Platforms; on premise or in the cloud. Linda has led many successful SIP implementations for multiple locations, demonstrates excellent research skills; client-vendor contract mediation and offers a highly developed expertise identifying problems and flushing out details.
Linda also assists large multi-branch companies, municipalities and other nonprofit operations with cost optimization ensuring appropriate ICT fees.
